Despite its scary name, shockwaves are actually sound waves that produce pressure. Think of them as tiny sonic boom waves, like airplanes produce. Most commonly used to treat soft tissue injuries such as bowed tendons, slow-healing wounds and sore feet.
Thermal imaging detects infrared radiation. The amount of radiation emitted increases with temperature. An inflamed area on a horse has an increased temperature therefor the thermographic camera can be used to find and monitor a painful area on a lame horse.
Offering spinal manipulation on both horses and dogs. An initial chiropractic exam includes a look at the saddle for appropriate fit. (Horses only!)
Routine / Preventative Care
Using a fiberoptic flexible scope, the upper airway can be examined. Usually used if the horse is making an unusual noise, it can also be used to search for infection and sources of bleeding.
